GENERAL If for some reason you are unable to use our online ordering facility please contactus by telephone, e-mail or post. If there is a Scout, Guide or Activity Resource item you cannot find in the on-line catalogue please contactus. We have an extensive knowledge of the market and of equipment manufacturers/suppliers and will advise whether we are able to source the item specifically for you. ORDERING Items available to buy online will have an "ADD" button - click on this button to purchase a single item. You can increase the quantity from one prior to selection if necessary. The shopping cart shows your accumulated order and cost, when you move to check out the total postage and packing charge is added to provide your total bill. You can change quantities or remove items in the cart if required and you can return from checkout to the shopping basket if you wish to. When you are satisfied with you selection and total cost you should complete the on-line order form. See below regarding the completion of the payment details part of the order form. With any of payment methods you will receive an immediate electronic confirmation of receipt. This automated e-mail acknowledgement means that the company has received your order but it does not necessarily mean it has been accepted. Please note that whilst orders for badges are not restricted by a maximum or minimum quantity a minimum charge will be applied for badge only orders below 10 badges. If your order is accepted, all the items are available for immediate despatch and your payment details are correct your order will be packed, despatched and a confirmatory E-mail will be sent to you. All orders are subject to a charge for postage and packing. Details of these are given on the Delivery Charges page. OUT OF STOCK ITEMS If your order is accepted but contains an item or items not immediately available (or due for delivery to us within the next 48 hours) you will contacted by the method selected by you on your order to “discuss” with you alternatives and/or whether despatch should be effected in two shipments or delayed pending receipt of the unavailable items. In order to minimise your postage and packing charge we endeavour wherever possible to only despatch complete orders and we may delay despatch for 48 hours where delivery of an out of stock item is expected. Where an order is split into two or more shipments we reserve the right to apply an additional delivery charge. CHANGES TO THE ORDER Once you have placed your order you may change or cancel any items prior to despatch by contacting SGS Outdoors by telephone or e-mail. If your order is for products requiring a special or individual order from our suppliers (e.g. scarves, name tapes etc.) we reserve the right to invoice you for those items if you cancel the order after you have confirmed your acceptance of our price offer. PAYMENT Payment can be accepted on the website by switch, any major credit card or by PayPal. Payment may be made by cheque. In this case you should print a copy of the order form and enclose it with your cheque. On receipt your cheque will be presented to the bank and your order packed but it will not be despatched until clear funds have been received into our account. Cheques should be mailed to our postal address – SGS Outdoors, 60 – 68 Trippet Lane, Sheffield S1 4EL Payment can be made charging to an SGS Outdoors monthly credit account. In this case the account number must be added on to the order form when completing the payment details. There will be a prompt regarding this. A credit account can be opened by either individual Leaders or Group officials. Please contact us for details and an application form. Group or sectional accounts are not permitted. Orders may be placed for personal collection from the Shop. If the order is being collected payment may be made either on confirmation of order or on collection by either switch, credit card, cash, cheque with a guarantee card or by charging to a credit account DESPATCH Subject to stock availability accepted orders will be despatched as follows : First Class Postage Orders 1. Orders received up to 10.00 Monday to Friday will be despatched that day 2. Orders received after 10.00 Monday to Friday will be despatched the next working day but every effort will be made to despatch the same day. 3. Orders received on Saturday, Sunday or a Bank holiday will be despatched on the next working day. Standard Class Postage Orders 1. Orders received up to 10.00 Monday to Friday will be despatched the next working day but every effort will be made to despatch the same day 2. Orders received after 10.00 Monday to Friday will be despatched on the next working day but may be despatched the same day. 3. Orders received on Saturday, Sunday or a Bank holiday will be despatched on the next working day. Orders up to 2 kgs. in weight for delivery to UK mainland destinations will be despatched by either Royal Mail or Parcel Force Services. Packages will only be despatched by first class post if this is specified when the order is placed and the additional charges paid. We reserve the right with orders over 2kg in weight to despatch by alternative services, The transit time specified by Royal Mail is next day for first class post and 2/3 days for second class post. An automated e-mail will be sent to you when your order is despatched.
