DELIVERY CHARGES

We feel it is unfair to small orders and badge only customers to apply a standard postage and packing charge. Our charges, which are detailed below, are calculated to reflect that policy and include a small amount for the packing materials and labour in addition to the Royal Mail charge. The company reserves the right to amend these charges at any time.

Please note that the weights used by the website’s software in calculating postage charges are estimated weights from a database. The actual weight of the completed parcel may differ from the estimated weight due to factors relating to packing materials and the actual combination of product ordered.

DELIVERY SERVICE

UK mainland destinations -
Orders up to 2 kgs. - dispatch by either second class Royal Mail or Parcel Force Services.
Orders over 2 kgs. - we reserve the right to select an alternative carrier service

Dispatch of orders by first class service is available but this must be selected at check out. A next day delivery service is not provided. For details of postal transit times please see Royal Mail's website.

Overseas destinations ( including Channel Islands and BFPO ) –
Orders up to 2 kgs. - despatch by airmail by Royal Mail or Parcel Force Services.
Orders over 2 kgs. - we reserve the right to select an alternative carrier service

Dispatch of overseas orders by surface mail is available but this must be selected at checkout.

MAXIMUM WEIGHTS

The standard maximum weight for shipments is detailed below. Orders which total more than this weight will be stopped at check out and referred to us for a specific shipping quotation or for splitting into 2 or more parcels. Major items of equipment ( all of which are clearly marked on the website ) will also be referred at check out for quotation.

Maximum parcel weight :
UK orders - 25.0 kgs.
Overseas - 20.0 kgs.

P & P CHARGES – UK ORDERS
BADGES

The price of all uniform badges includes 3p per badge to cover handling, packing and the standard class postage charge. Badges can be despatched by 1st class post at a supplement of 50p per order. Non uniform badges dealt with in the same way as all other products are charged by weight.

A minimum order quantity of 10 badges applies to all orders for uniform badges. For orders below the minimum quantity a small order supplement of may be applied.

P & P CHARGES – UK ORDERS
UNIFORM AND OTHER ITEMS ( excluding Major Equipment )

The charges detailed below are for despatch by standard 2nd class service.

Minor packages (up to 10 gms) - £ 0.95 per order
Small packages (from 11 gms to 100 gms) - £ 1.30 per order
Small weight parcels (from 101 gms to 250 gms) - £ 1.95 per order
Medium weight parcels (201 gms to 500 gms) - £ 2.25 per order
Large weight parcels (501 gms to 750 gms) - £ 2.75 per order
Ex. Large weight parcels (over 751 gms) - £ 3.00 per order

All orders are subject to a minimum delivery charge of 95p.

All orders over 750 gms are charged at the maximum rate of £ 3.00 per order

Packages will only be despatched by first class service if this is selected when the order is placed and the additional charges paid. The supplement for this services is 50p per order

P & P CHARGES – OVERSEAS ORDERS
BADGES

The price of all badges includes 3p per badge handling, packing and UK standard class postage. Orders European destinations will be subject to a supplement for £ 1.00 per order for postage and orders for non-European destinations to supplement of £ 1.55 per order. All badges orders will be despatched by air mail.

No maximum or minimum order quantity applies to badge orders ( either individual badges or the total order ) for non-Uk destinations

The charges for orders to overseas destinations are detailed below. Orders for delivery to destinations outside Europe will be despatched by Air mail unless surface post is specified on ordering. : –

P & P - MAJOR EQUIPMENT

Any order that contains any major items with a total parcel weight exceeding 2.0 kgs will be halted at check out and automatically referred to The Scout & Guide Shop for pricing. We will contact the customer with a specific quotation for shipping the order and on acceptance of the quoted price we will amend the order to include that price and confirm it to the customer for completion.
